Our in person programs were suspended in March and though we quickly transitioned to digital learning, many classes were not able to continue. Our annual fundraiser, The Broadway Bee, was postponed. Thus far, COVID-19 has caused a loss of a fifth of our operating budget. We anticipate that number will increase as the emergency response is extended.
The Broadway Bound Webathon (or whatever name) is a 60 day (?) fundraising campaign and virtual talent show featuring our teachers, students, and other members of our community across our social networks. Funds raised will be used to support the organization through this crisis, while we continue to provide services to our students. The daily talent exhibition will launch across all of our platforms to highlight the inspiring and empowering impact of the performing arts.
On the last day, our campaign will culminate with a live event hosted by Quarantine Cabaret! (or some other thing)
