MondaysTap/Ballet (K-1st Grade) - SOLD OUT
This mashup class teaches two classic styles of dance. Students will experience the discipline of ballet, building strength and control, as well as the exciting rhythm and energy of tap! Dancers will develop fundamental skills and learn vocabulary all while working on engaging choreography. *Dancers do not need to wear ballet or tap shoes to practice with us! Hip Hop (2nd-5th Grade) Get ready to pop, lock, move, and groove in this high-energy Hip Hop class! Hip Hop dance originated on the streets of NYC, and our young New Yorkers will explore how this genre incorporates elements of jazz, tap, swing, and most importantly, improvisation. This class emphasizes development of coordination, understanding of complex rhythms, and confidence in self-expression -- with AWESOME music along the way! Our Teaching Artists will work with students to build fun but challenging choreography sequences, master specific hip hop skills, and bring joyful energy to the dance floor. Location: PS 6

Does your student dream of becoming the next Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, or Ed Sheeran? In Singers and Songwriters, students learn the mechanics of writing lyrics and melodies, and will discover how to tell a story through music. As a culminating project, the class will write and record their very own original tune for you to keep forever! Location: PS 6

Mindful Yoga (K-1st Grade)
In this introduction to yoga class, students will explore the practice through fun poses that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and overall body control. Teaching Artists will lead our young yogis in mindful games, storytelling exercises, and breathing techniques to foster managing emotions. No experience required – just come ready to move and have a great time in a supportive environment! Improv (2nd-5th Grade) In this dynamic and laughter-filled class, students will embark on a journey of spontaneous storytelling and imaginative exploration. Designed specifically for elementary school-aged learners, our Improv class is an engaging and interactive experience that fosters creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Students will learn the foundational rule of improvisation – "Yes, And..." – and will be encouraged to accept and build upon each other's ideas, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Jr. Drama Club (K-1st Grade) - SOLD OUT
Jr Drama Club is the ultimate introduction to musical theater! This class is a fun and creative opportunity for young performers to explore the exciting realms of singing, acting, and dancing, and truly build an ensemble. In this engaging and interactive program, students will learn the fundamentals of stage performance while delving into the world of musical theater, where stories come alive. In the fall, performers will draw inspiration from hit musicals such as Wicked and Encanto, and explore various musical theater genres and time periods as they produce a Broadway Musical Revue. In the Spring, Jr. Drama Club will create their own musical, complete with props and costumes. Drama Club (2nd-5th Grade) - SOLD OUT
Curtain up, hit the lights, and get ready to perform in Drama Club! In this program, students create an ensemble and build a life-long community while discovering foundational musical theater techniques. In the fall, Drama Club will produce a Broadway Musical Revue. Exploring musicals across diverse genres and time periods, students will take on the classics like The Sound of Music, new hits such as Hamilton, and everything in between. BBK will provide Teaching Artists to direct and choreograph each show. In the Spring, Drama Club will perform a Broadway Jr. Musical! All Broadway Bound Kids programs will use social and emotional learning techniques to build an inclusive space for kids to belong. Location: PS 6
