We are so excited to announce the launch of our newest summer program: BBK Rocks! In partnership with Rockers On Broadway®, BBK Rocks is a two-week Pop/Rock performance intensive offered completely tuition free for students grades 7th-12th. This program has been created for students who possess a passion for Pop/Rock music, but lack access to training. Our Teaching Artist will work with students on Pop/Rock performances customized to each student’s creative aesthetic and will collaboratively create two group numbers. We will meet students where they are, aiming for each student to find growth and a sense of accomplishment at the end of the program. We will build community in our classes while working towards creating a final product, and offer a chance for our students to grow their relationships with music! |
The Broadway Bound Kids team is so grateful for our amazing community who contributed, attended, and supported our fundraising event, No One is Alone! Thanks to your support, our event has grown - we were able to raise $5,000 more than last year! We are so grateful for your commitment to helping us provide equitable arts education to NYC youth. This community has the ability to change the lives of students every day. |
We are excited to share that BBK has received both a Support for Organizations and Regrowth and Capacity grant from the New York State Council on the Arts! This grant will support us as we continue their ongoing recovery from pandemic challenges. The responsive funding of NYSCA is providing nearly 1000 organizations with over $13 million in recovery support in FY23, as part of their historic FY93 $90 million in grant making and $150 million in multi-year capital support. “This unprecedented funding continues our investment into the vital role that the arts contribute to the health of our economy, our communities and our citizens,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “As we continue our comeback, we applaud the strength and innovation of arts organizations across the state and are all the better for their hard work and dedication.” Thank you NYSCA for your support! |
