Seeking Teaching Artists
We are looking for kind, talented individuals to join our roster specifically for the following programming:
Arts for Diverse Learners Grant: TAs in this residency visit schools up to three times per week, during the school day, for 2-6 hours. The program supports inclusive arts education for multilingual learners and students with disabilities by expanding access, strengthening collaboration with teaching artists, and building sustainable practices. TAs should have experience working with a diverse group of students, collaborating with school teachers, and have time during the day, not after school hours. These residencies are mainly musical theater based, so experience in music, dance, and acting is imperative. All residencies culminate in a final share, planned and executed by the TA. The rate for these residencies is $70/hr.
The Broadway Jr Program: The Shubert Foundation/MTI Broadway Junior Program is a partnership between Music Theatre International (MTI) and the NYC Department of Education with support from the Shubert Foundation. Broadway Junior brings musical theater into NYC public middle schools currently underserved in the arts and provides the training and materials necessary to create and present a Broadway JR. production in their schools. BBK seeks Production advisors to work with DOE teachers on mounting their first ever musical theater production. The rate for these residencies is $60/hr.
