BBA FAQ
-
BBA is for high school students looking for an in-depth, conservatory-style training program. It is perfect for students who want to study the performing arts in college, prepare for professional auditions, or just dive deeper into their training. We offer classes in Acting, Dance (coming soon), and Vocal Performance (coming soon).
-
Yes! BBA is an audition-based program. There will be various degrees of experience in our classes, but BBA is designed to start all students at Level 1 to build a common framework. No matter your experience, you will be challenged and given the tools to succeed and get to the next level.
-
There are 3 Levels for BBA classes. Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
-
Yes! And…maybe! Even if you have experience and/or training, Broadway Bound Academy’s curriculum should offer new learning opportunities, and our instructors work hard to make sure each student is challenged. If you think you should begin above Level 1, you will need to be assessed by the teacher of the course. Some students with the necessary knowledge and skills may be eligible to start at Level 2 or 3.
-
BBA is intended to be a year-long program. The curriculum spans 20 sessions over two semesters. Students will register once before Fall Semester, and again before Spring semester.
-
Once you complete Level 1, you will automatically advance to Level 2, and so on. You do not need to audition once Level 1 is completed.
-
Yes! Any high school student is welcome to audition for BBA classes. While it might mean you don’t have time to complete every Level, you will still have a valuable learning experience.
-
Each semester of BBA culminates with students sharing their work. This is a great time to show family and friends student’s amazing accomplishments! The content of these sharings varies based on the class and what content was covered that semester.
