On May 2nd, 2025, Broadway Bound Kids (BBK) learned that our $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts—funding specifically designated for our free Community Theater Ensembles—was unexpectedly cut.

But we're not going anywhere.

BBK remains deeply committed to providing free, high-quality arts programming that offers NYC youth a place to belong and be heard. The heart of our mission—free Community Theater Ensembles—is not only continuing, but growing.

In response to this challenge, we're proud to launch Bridge to Higher Education, a free, 6-day college audition and mentorship workshop. Developed in direct response to community needs, this program helps rising seniors prepare for college and conservatory auditions through personalized coaching, mock auditions, and family support sessions.

The Show Must Go On is our call to action—a campaign to:

- Support our brand-new Bridge to Higher Education program this summer

- Offset the unexpected $20,000 loss from the NEA funding cuts

- Sustain and grow our free Community Theater Ensembles

We’re calling on our community to step into the spotlight and help us ensure these essential programs continue to thrive. Every dollar brings us closer to bridging the gap for young artists who deserve the chance to shine.

Please consider making a gift today. Your support helps us bring joy, learning, empowerment, and hope to NYC’s most vulnerable youth.

Lights, camera, TAKE ACTIONbecause the show must go on.
