Broadway Bound Kids is proud to partner with the following organizations to help bring arts education to local middle and high schools that are underserved in the arts.

Broadway Jr.BBK teaching artists work with each schools at least once a week, for a total of 100 hours over the course of the program. They support the team of in-school teachers in all aspects of creating the production, as some of the in-school teachers don't have any experience putting on a show. At the end of the semester each school puts on a full Broadway Jr. production, and students also get to celebrate their success by sharing a number from their show on a Broadway Stage in a city-wide festival hosted by a celebrity.

The Broadway Jr. Program is a partnership between Music Theatre International (MTI) and the NYC Department of Education with support from the Shubert Foundation. The program brings musical theater into NYC public middle schools that are currently underserved in the arts and provides the training and materials necessary to create and present a Broadway Junior production in their schools. Arthur Miller FoundationThe Arthur Miller Theatre Education Program provides significant mentorship, training, and support for new theatre teachers, increasing the number of New York City public school students with access to a dedicated theater education. In partnership with the DOE Office of Arts, this comprehensive program seeks to establish sustainable theatre programs in schools throughout the city. The Theatre Education program provides the following methods of support for first and second year theatre teachers selected to participate in the program: Mentorship, Cultural Partner Residencies, Resources, Professional Development. Broadway Bound Kids is part of the Mentorship Program for these new theatre teachers to support their development of curriculum and teaching skills under the guidance of our experienced teaching artists. A 10-week Teaching Artist Residency is established in the classroom to partner new theatre teachers with Broadway Bound Kids to focus on an area of musical theatre that will be most beneficial to build the skills of the classroom teacher and the students.
