Listen Up, let me tell you a story!
Broadway Bound Kids invites you to step into her-story with InterActive Broadway for 3-12th graders! Students will learn songs and choreography based on the hit musical SIX. Six passes the mic to some iconic queens, telling the often overlooked and under appreciated stories of the EX wives of Henry the VIII, through pop music. Participants in this program will dance, sing and exude girl power with special guest artist Taylor McMahon, Resident Choreographer for the North American companies of SIX the Musical. Hang on to your heads and join us for this epic journey with BBK and the Broadway community! Taylor is currently the Resident Choreographer for the North American companies of SIX the Musical. Past work includes associate choreographer to Andy Blankenbuehler and Stephanie Klemons for FLY at La Jolla Playhouse, associate choreographer to Karla Puno Garcia with the Off-Broadway production of 1000 Nights and One Day with Prospect Theatre Company, ‘This is Sadie’ at NYCCT, Rock of Ages at PCLO with Stephanie Klemons, and most recently the associate of Times Square Project (@tsqproject). With a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Health Communication background, Taylor fuses her love for art-making with deep, meaningful storytelling. As co-creator of Arts for Alz NYC (@artsforalznyc), a dance benefit performance to support the Alzheimer’s Association, she continues to discover ways to create lasting impact through her art. |
