Forging the Path Together 〰️
Before-school, after school, and summer programs are in jeopardy of losing key federal funding for the fiscal year of 2027. These crucial programs that serve under resourced communities and currently 2,250 students in New York City will lose the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant which will effectively eliminate Broadway Bound Kids’ Community-Based Organization partners.
With the impending threat of funding to schools benefiting from this grant, BBK’s teachers will also be impacted, as there will be fewer teaching opportunities available to our roster of highly-skilled and caring Teaching Artists. BBK is striving to raise Lead Teaching Artists’ base salary rate to combat the pressures of these programs' health, as well as to help alleviate the affordability crisis in New York by promoting competitive rates.
By Raising $25,000, we Can forge A new Path in arts Education For students and Teaching artists losing federal funding!
