THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING…
THE Fourth Annual Broadway Bound Benefit:
Empower STate of Mind
At City Winery

We did it!

Thank you for celebrating with us for the 4th Annual Broadway Bound Benefit Empower State of Mind!

The annual Benefit raises essential funds for Broadway Bound Kids’ free performing arts education programs including new initiatives – Community Theater Ensembles, the new BBK Bridge to Higher Education, and the introduction of free summer workshops. After a year of major growth for BBK – from 1,650 to over 2,000 students in nearly 50 schools across all 5 boroughs with an impressive roster of over 50 Teaching Artists, BBK has sought to keep expanding to reach as many NYC students as possible. Through the loss of crucial federal funding, BBK continues to empower young artists with programming that is thoughtful and accessible, aiming to enrich its students’ arts experiences.

Thanks to BBK’s wonderful community and supporters at the Broadway Bound Benefit, financial barriers were broken to summer arts education by raising over $80,000!

Cori Gardner & Donnie Kehr receive the 2nd Broadway Bound Legacy Award!

BBK was ecstatic to honor the 2nd Broadway Bound Legacy Award recipients, The PATH Fund’s Cori Gardner and Donnie Kehr. Their dedication to championing arts education and cultivating the next generation of artists parallels BBK’s mission. PATH’s support of BBK throughout the years — including starting the incredible free summer program BBK Rocks — made the Broadway Bound Benefit the perfect opportunity to recognize PATH’s accomplishments and generosity!

The evening’s energy was electric, celebrating the city of New York and its impact on the arts and creativity, especially in arts education, with performances by Kate Baldwin (Chicago The Musical), Olivia Donalson (Six), Kelsee Kimmel (Hell’s Kitchen), Storm Lever (Six), Daniel Quadrino (Wicked), Jacob Keith Watson (Ragtime) led by music director, Robert Frost (Cabaret).

The night included performances from hit musicals like SIX, Shrek, Hello Dolly!, Little Women, and The Princess and the Frog! Mixed with fun popular songs, such as an Express Yourself/Born this way mash up, On Broadway, New York State of mind, We Built this City, Titanium, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. With a few surprise performances including an original piece by PS6 students and a “Money” Mashup!

The Benefit was also full of fun and games including the famed raffle, a Silent Auction, and for the first year ever, an exciting pledge drive all raising money to help make arts education available and inclusive.

Thank you for being a part of BBK’s wonderful community and for continuing to support our mission to bring performing arts education to all NYC students!

The Arts are a way to empower STATE OF MIND,
Let’s Get Empowered!
